So the first run of week 11, is a 7 miles with 6*100 metre strides and no-doubt I’ll see that talkative chap on his bench again. These session have lost their fear factor a little now that Ive become accustom to them and i think I’ll need to push hard on them to make sure i full benefit from the work out.
The seven mile run will be as follows :
Previously Ive done the run section of the speed session at plodding pace but tonight Ive decided to go for 8.20 pace, again to ensure that i get the maximum benefit from the work out now that Ive become used to them.
The strides will be done over this route :
In other news, the Yorkshire Marathon seems quite a lucrative event to take part in, marathon speedsters might want to check it out :
Runners World are running a competition to win a place at the HSBC Triathlon, Duathlon and Scootathlon and i have to admit id never heard of a Scootathlon and it turns out its some sort of children’s thing. So if your a fit and healthy family this could be one for you :

Personally, i just turn up at sweatshop and try on numerous pairs , using the treadmill until i find the pair i want. But its always useful to read the odd guide or two.
Not long now till my charity event and another generous donation has come in this time from Phillip Titterington , edging me even closer to my £100 target, so a big thank you for that!!!!. But with only a few days left, Ive still got to raise another £18, so come on folks look down the back of your sofa and dig out that spare change.
September 1st i will be joining Paralympic gold medalist Richard Whitehead as he runs the full length Britain. He will be running through Preston on that day and I am planning on joining him for 20 miles or so as a local runner. So if you have a spare Dollar / Pound or Euro please chuck it this way
Its for the Scope charity :
